For the seventh consecutive year, Frederick Community College will host the Annual Latino Festival de Frederick on Sunday, September 25, 2011 from 12:00 Noon until 5:00 p.m (rain or shine). The site of the festival is the grassy “Quad” located between the Library Building and the Field House at the College campus at 7932 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick, MD. Each year proceeds from the festival are donated to the Progreso Latino Scholarship Fund, administered by the Community Foundation. Last year five two-thousand dollar scholarships were awarded to high achieving students of Hispanic heritage who demonstrated financial need. On the occasion of National Hispanic Heritage month from September 15 to October 15, we once again seek your support and sponsorship as we celebrate Latin American culture in music, dance, cuisine, and crafts. Enclosed is the revised 2011 sponsor and vendor support list and registration form for sponsors, businesses, food vendors, artisans and craft-persons, government agencies, and community service organizations. Contributions from sponsors and business vendors are tax deductible as charitable donations subject to IRS regulations. As in past years, there will be a 30% discount for those who submit their registration forms and payment by Friday, July 29, 2011. Registration closes on Wednesday, August 31, 2011. Mindful and appreciative of your past support, we hope to welcome you back again this year to this joyful and fun-filled festival.
