Community Foundation Awards 2009 Progreso Latino Scholarships

2009 Progreso Latino Scholarship winners

Roberto Leiva, a 2009 Governor Thomas Johnson High School graduate, received The Progreso Latino Scholarship awarded to graduates of Frederick County Public Schools, with preference given to those who are of Latino Heritage. Mr. Leiva attends Frederick Community College.

Nathalia Gabriel, a 2009 Tuscarora High School graduate, received The Progreso Latino Scholarship awarded to graduates of Frederick County Public Schools, with preference given to those who are of Latino Heritage. Ms. Gabriel attends Virginia Tech.

Luis Beltran, a 2009 Middletown High School graduate, received The Coach Bob Sheffler/Middletown High School Soccer Alumni Scholarship awarded to Middletown High School graduating seniors who have participated in varsity soccer during their senior year and The Progreso Latino Scholarship awarded to graduates of Frederick County Public Schools, with preference given to those who are of Latino Heritage. Mr. Beltran attends Mount Saint Mary’s University.
